Single-crank, synchronized roller gin for separating seed, lint from 'slick-seeded' cottons. Replica of small roller gin from Japan (circa 1900). Adjustable roller nip. Double doctor blades. Infeed tray, section screen. Scored rollers synchronized by carved spiral pinions. Dovetail pegged mortise-&-tenon "puzzle" construction. No metal, screws, nails, or glue. Slab and Pin
Slab and Pin - $50.00, subject to availability (shipping $20.00)
Primitive & effective tools for ginning cotton. Iron pin pinches, presses seed cotton against stone slab, & squeezes 'lint' from seed as pin is rolled. Simple to do & surprisingly easy. Method is authentic from circa 1300 BCE to the present. Iron pin is approx. 5/8" dia. x 8" long; the slab is 12" x 6".

A word about woods:
Much of what we make is constructed of 'MLH' or 'Mixed Light Hardwoods'... which is to say mostly maple, birch, beech & the like. The woods are not light in weight, just light-colored.
