Equipment and Medical Supply
Tarps and Op-Site were hard to find because the person from last year did not make a list of the places to get these items and others.
Bischoff Medical Supplies - Op-Site (has another name but is the same thing). Located at 960 S. Bascom Ave. San Jose, CA.
Mel Cottons - 10% discount with Girl Scout ID card.
Cambrian Surplus - shovels and tablets - 10% discount with Girl Scout ID card.
Antelope (Sporting goods) - Muskel (repellant)
Alpha - Beta - shampoo (biodegradable)
I enjoyed doing the equipment and the medical supplies even though I wasn't able to go on the 50 miler. These items and others cost about $128 and most of these items can be used next year.
Evaluation by Cindy
It was neat having a really kick-back week, but I wouldn't want the next 50 to turn out the same way. Nobody tried to wake anyone else up. Someone should have had an alarm. The food was all pretty good. I don't really understand why Denise H. didn't know when the trip was. The prep hikes were a mess. But all in all it was a successful trip and we all had a good time.
