HAWG'S FAVORED HANGOUT

After a hard day of wrenching, it's time to blow out the cobwebs...and nothing clears the ol' brain cell like a wild ride up through the incredibly scenic highways and byways of California's Gold Country. One of my very favorite rides is down CA Highway 49 through the foothills....great winding road following the trails of the original 49'ers, beautiful scenery, wild rivers, big trees....and fun little historic towns such as Hangtown....now politely known as Placerville.

And after blasting along on a well running machine...there's nothing like stopping for a bit of partying and fellowship with the great folks at my favored hangout. A nifty little ol' timey bar tucked away along Highway 49 just south of Placerville. A place where everybody knows your name...and they're always glad you came....

Oh wait...that's the other place. This place is even better. Great place, great times, great drinks, great food, great people, no shit. So, if you're lucky enough to find yourself riding the gold country roads...take the time to find this place and treat yourself:
