NEW YEARS EVE GALA -2002 - Ian Schrager's Clift Hotel Lobby - Synapse created the Media Environment for party-goers to ring in the New Year at one of San Francisco's swankiest spots - Ian Schrager's Clift Hotel, recently redesigned by Philippe Starck of Studio 54 fame. In the vaulted main Lobby, set amongst the unique custom crafted furnishings, we installed and discreetly draped a pipe support structure surrounding a central column to loft a battery of our computer controlled projectors to a height of 12 feet. We created bold new visuals to serve the neo-Japanese theme, and brought the slate gray walls to life with dynamic, colorful sets of changing graphics.
