Here are some background items that all together help make me what I am today.

I am a Born Again Christian: I attend Calvary Chapel Pacific Coast in Westminster, California. I am an ordained minister and you can refer to me as Reverend Terry Mathers if you like.

I have an A.A. degree in computer programming and a B.A. degree in Psychology from Chapman University in Orange California.

I am an avid motorcycle rider and commute to work most days on my Suzuki Intruder 800.

I am Past President and Hunt Chairman of the National Varmint Hunters club.

I am Past Secretary of the California State Varmint Callers Association, Inc.

I have a commercial General Radiotelephone License and an Amateur Advanced class license issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

I earn my living as Data Center Manager for a large government agency.

I have been married to the same woman, Dixie, for 37 years and we have raised two boys. I am a grandfather with four grand daughters.

I found this poker game in a corner of a gun store in Arizona.

Here is an example of one of my adventures; while camping in the Mojave Desert with a group of friends I got bit by a spider. The symptoms suggest that it was a "recluse" spider. Three doctors all agreed on the diagnoses even though I did not feel the bite and did not find a spider. It probably crawled up my pants leg and bit me on the left knee. It took 8 weeks to recover. This is a photo of my leg 24 hours after getting bit.
