Here are some photos of me doing what I love.
I shot this coyote in the Arizona desert at the end of a fun day. I usually shoot about 10 to 20 coyotes per year.
I am having some fun at the site of the famous shoot-out on a trip to Tombstone Arizona. We had the place to our selves!
THE A TEAM Here is my hunting team on a lunch break while hunting in Arizona. We have been hunting together since 1989 and are very good friends. I have learned everything I know about Varmint Hunting from Brian and Mark.
Here I am with another coyote. Notice the extra rounds I have on the holder on my sleeve. This makes quick reloading possible if by chance I use all three rounds I load at the beginning of each stand.
DOVE HUNTING Here my good friend Joe is cleaning dove on a hunt we make each year on September 1 to the Mojave Desert.
Here I am standing by a giant cactus in Arizona. This is how I sometimes make a stand calling like an injured small animal. The coyote comes in looking for an easy meal only to have the tables turned!
MY FRIEND MIKE WITH A COYOTE HE SHOT
MY FIRST BEAR This a VERY BIG black bear I shot East of Cody Wyoming on a guided hunt on the Hunter Peak Ranch. Me and the guide skinned it; this took more than an hour and half with both of us working hard. I brought the meat back and ate it. The tanned skin is hanging over the fire place in the living room of my house.
MY FIRST COYOTE This is the first coyote I ever shot. I was on a stand with Joe and Ray Vickers; it came around the side of a hill about 150 yards away, stopped and lifted it's leg to take a leak and look at us. I asked Ray what I should do, he said "shoot it". I did.
TWO COYOTES I shot both of these on one stand about 8 years ago.
Another Coyote I shot this on a stand by myself in the East Mojave Desert. It was late September and the temperature was 90 degrees F.
Rattle Snake
I almost stepped on this rattle snake while hunting jackrabbits. I was looking out 25 - 30 yards watching for a rabbit to run through the thick brush. For some reason I looked down before stepping on it; the snake was resting it's head on a fresh cow patty. I shot before it bit me blowing off it's head with my 12 Ga. shotgun and got sprayed by cow manure.
MY TRUCK Here is my truck, a Ford F250 with a 460 V8, 4 wheel drive, automatic transmission, air conditioning, power equipment and 6 speaker stereo. I love my truck! Here we are camping; I sleep in a small tent in the bushes.
